SEND

At Pendock, we are proud to support children with a wide range of SEND needs and are committed to understanding each child as an individual. We identify and support needs early through careful observation, ongoing assessment, strong relationships with children and families, and, where appropriate, collaboration with external agencies. Our teaching and learning offer has been recently reviewed in line with the EEF Five-a-Day principles, with consistent pedagogical approaches used across all four classes to ensure learning is relevant, engaging, and accessible for all. We benefit from a strong staff-to-child ratio with clearly defined roles, enabling flexible support that ranges from one-to-one and small-group work to inclusive in-class support. Listening to and hearing our children is central to our practice; we value every child’s voice and provide a range of ways for them to communicate, helping to create a consistent, relational, safe, and supportive environment where all children feel valued, understood, and able to thrive.
